One More Blog Hop Post

And, here is my last card.

Another Blog Hop Post

Ok, I guess I need a separate post for each card to add them to the list. Here's one more!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Hello!  This is my first time participating in the monthly Blog Hop over at Papertrey Ink.  I decided this week that I needed to stop procrastinating and just jump right in.  It made it a little easier for me because they provided the sketches and the color combos. Generally, that is what takes me the most time.  I actually made three cards this week.  Here goes! Sorry the photos aren't that great.  I took them with my iphone and didn't realize that they were kind of blurry.

Stamp-A-Faire

Hello,

Today I have been trying to play along with the challenges from Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire over on Nicole Heady's blog.  Well, I spent pretty much the whole day working on it and I was only able to get one card done so far, and another about 75% done.  My mom was over here and she made a card with me, and Daphne, my 3 year-old made a card too.  We did the first challenge of the day, the Breakfast Take & Bake.  For this challenge you select a color combo and a sketch and make a quick card.  We did great except for the "quick" part!!    So, here is the card that I made, a little bit unusual color combo for a Halloween card but I really wanted to make some thing with my new little ghost I got this week.

My color combo was Enchanted Evening, Lavender Moon, Scarlet Jewel, Raspberry Fizz and Ripe Avocado.  I added the white, I hope that is okay!

Here is Daphne's card.  She's made lots of cards with me before, but this is the first one that she made all on her own.  She even put the glitter glue on the centers of all the flowers!  Mommy was so proud. :)

And, here is the card that Mom made today.  I think this is my favorite card she has made so far!

So, I am going to try to make a few more cards in later tonight and maybe tomorrow.  We'll see if I can do it!

Graduation card

Been a busy week as always. I'm going to try to post this from my phone and see how that goes. I made a card for my nephew's graduation. It's a week late but that's kind of typical for me! This is a little different style than I normally make but I wanted something masculine and I wanted to use some of my new stamp sets. I found a card that Heather Nichols made here with PTI's Grunge Me set. I added a little color and then decorated the inside using my new It's Official set and the notebook die plus some misc. sentiments. I also used my new PTI alphabet dies to include my nephew's name on the front. Now I just have to get it in the mail!

So, here I am again....

I started a blog about three years ago, and then two weeks later found out I was pregnant and promptly forgot about trying to blog. After I had Daphne and I finally got a good routine and some spare time, I found out I was pregnant! Now I have Claire (14mos) and Daphne (3) and practically no spare time. But, I love to papercraft and I try to get in my craft room as much as possible. Sometimes that might be once a month, or once a week if I am lucky. I don't really have any friends that papercraft, so I find myself online a lot, looking for inspiration and a community to share my interest with. I hope to be able to share some of my work here. I mostly make cards, and I am trying to do Project Life, although I always seem to be in the planning stage, and never really get into the doing stage. So, here is a card that I made for Daphne's teacher at daycare. It is almost all Papertry Ink products, except the patterned paper. It is a "CASE" of a card I found in PTI gallery made by Debbie Olson. I hope to try and update at least once a week, with something that I have created. Better sign off for now though, I have a big presentation at work tomorrow and instead of preparing for that, I am doing this! Not good!
